Aquamarine is the birthstone for the month of March, and a member of the beryl mineral family.

The name Aquamarine was derived from two Latin words, aqua meaning “water” and marina meaning “of the sea” and coined as the “sailor’s gem” that if worn at sea one would be protected from the sea. We source this gorgeous blue gemstone from the island of Madagascar.
